Dr. Ari Zelig, McCulley Allergy, Sinus and Asthma Center
Join us in welcoming Dr. Ari Zelig back to Memphis! Dr. Zelig, a native Memphian, recently returned to the area after several years away because he wanted to return to his strong roots in the medical community. What made you choose the allergy/immunology field?
“I enjoy caring for both children and adults with a wide variety of allergic and immunologic conditions. I gravitated towards the field of allergy/immunology since it allows for meaningful, long-term connections with my patients and their families. I am most proud of my ability to improve my patients’ quality of life. I have a particular interest in the use of biologics to treat those patients who suffer most, specifically those with severe asthma, eczema, chronic hives, and nasal polyps. I am often a featured speaker for the National Eczema Association.”
Tell us something about you
“I moved back to Memphis after five years of practice in Florida to be closer to family and to make an impact in a smaller medical community I can call home. I enjoy playing guitar, and I am a singer/songwriter. I like to spend my time with my wife and my miniature dachshund.”
Training
After an early career in the field of special education, Dr. Zelig graduated with his medical degree in 2012 from Sackler School of Medicine/Tel Aviv University. He attended Emory University and Washington University in St. Louis before medical school. Dr. Zelig completed his post-graduate training through a Pediatric Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
