Empowering the Memphis Healthcare Community to Develop Talent with Quality Education

The Mission of MHLI

To grow current and future healthcare leaders in Memphis through interactive dynamic programming, and strengthen the entities who are impacted by the Institute.

Locally, Memphis has several opportunities for aspiring leaders to participate in leadership and growth opportunities, but there is no program explicitly dedicated to the needs of a healthcare professional.

The other options at a regional and national level are expensive and typically only allow for one person to attend. Online training can certainly be more cost effective, but that won’t cut it exclusively for those who want to LEAD our healthcare community. Thousands upon thousands of dollars to send staff to conferences isn’t sustainable.

So, in the Fall of 2023, we launched the initial cohort of MHLI. That cohort consisted of current and aspiring medical practice administrators. The mission of Thrive is to provide a resource for the physician community to confidentially seek counseling in a safe, convenient environment without judgement and to act as a precursor before more serious issues arise for the physician.
