Memphis Medical Society Offers Resources to Members who Seek Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Funding

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) released the first funding opportunity today of the Rural Health Transformation Program. This begins a roll-out of competitive grant programs to deliver long-term, sustainable improvements in Tennessee’s rural health systems.

Memphis Medical Society (MMS), and its 501c3 branch Memphis Medical Foundation (MMF), seek to inform members and stakeholders of ways either or both organizations can support members’/stakeholders’ Request for Application (RFA) or Request for Funding (RFP).

How We Could Support RFA’s and RFP’s

  • Provide Letter of Support for RFA’s and/or RFP’s
  • Partner with healthcare entities on an RFA or RFP
  • In certain circumstances, MMF could be available to be the grant recipient. This would be beneficial to members/stakeholders who are not 501c3 entities.
  • In certain circumstances, MMF could be a partner agency in a grant proposal. This is of particular interest in the areas of uninsured access to care, which is a core initiative of our Project Access West Tennessee program.
  • MMS or MMF could be resourceful in RFA’s or RFP’s that address workforce development and/or technology advances.
  • Other examples of supporting RFA’s or RFP’s include, but are not limited to:
  • Sharing your funded project with our members through e-news or targeted communications.
  • Presenting your funded project at a meeting of MMS
  • Identifying other potential partners in an RFA or RFP
  • Identifying collaborators after grant award is received
  • If either of the above opportunities for partnership is of interest, please complete this form. A member of staff will follow up for a short conversation if needed for more detail, or you will be contacted to set up a meeting to discuss the potential for partnership.
