The Memphis Pediatric Society is hosting a member dinner September 28 at 6:30 pm at Owen Brennan’s. Join us for great company, food, and a presentation. Dr. Christie Michael will present on updated asthma guidelines. Dr. Michael is an Allergy and Immunology specialist at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor at UTHSC.

MPS supports a new project called Tennessee TweenVax. Led by Dr. Arash Shaban-Nejad from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC), the project is an NIH funded project aimed at improving Adolescent (11-12 years) HPV Vaccination uptake through understanding and improving adolescent preventative health care services received at healthcare practices in Tennessee.
Participants will entail one in-depth interview via Zoom lasting less than one hour each with members of the medical practice team who interact with adolescent patients and their caregivers and play a role in providing preventative healthcare for these patients.
The researcher who will conduct these in-depth interviews in flexible and able to schedule any day/time to interview any interested participants.

The Society relies on member dues to continue expanding and providing support and events for members!
- Membership for practicing physicians is $245 annually. You can click here to join or renew your 2021 dues.
- Resident dues are $100 annually.
