
Beginning his career journey at MedTemps as a part-time employee while pursuing a criminal justice degree from the University of Memphis, Michael King has since become the top professional at the medical staffing company, which is operated by Memphis Medical Society.
“I’m excited to step into the role of Director of Operations at MedTemps, especially as I celebrate my fourth year with the company,” said Michael, who now leads MMS’s full service recruiting and staffing firm for healthcare facilities and medical clinics, and a regional leader in healthcare workforce development.
“I’ll be overseeing daily operations and driving strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, client satisfaction, and talent placement. I’m looking forward to supporting our team in delivering exceptional staffing solutions and continuing to grow with the organization, which is a major driver of MMS’s work on behalf of physicians and patients.”
A big piece of Michael’s focus in the role is to keep a tight watch on quality control, overseeing the efficiency and quality of candidates MedTemps provides to healthcare providers in the Mid-South. Because of Michael and the MedTemps staff, with support from MMS, we can fill requests for new employees faster than hospitals and clinics can onboard their own employees. Through an exacting vetting process, MedTemps can ensure high-quality candidates who are not only ready to work, but experts in their field.
Michael’s roadmap of where to grow from their success in Memphis is strategizing ways to expand southward into areas like Southaven and Olive Branch, and growing northward into newer and growing suburban population centers like Arlington and Lakeland. He also plans to work with the MMS Marketing and Membership team to promote MedTemps to clinic and hospital executives, filling more vacant roles to handle their increased client base and guarantee quality.
MedTemps was built on the concept of building long-term professional relationships with veterans and highly skilled new professionals who can be quickly deployed. It’s built on a foundation of upfront, open communication and trust with all candidates, and with every client.
“My plan is to stay with MedTemps for a long time,” said Michael. “I’m hooked on the rush that comes from connecting a candidate to a job that suits them perfectly. In my mind, every example of our success, and I’ve already seen so many, strengthens MedTemps’ brand, and our reputation.
