The following individuals were elected to the AAMSE Board of Directors as officers:
Clint Cummins, MHA – Elected to serve as AAMSE President-Elect. Cummins is the current CEO and Executive Vice President of the Memphis Medical Society, a role he has been serving in since 2016. Founded in 1876, The Memphis Medical Society serves over 2,300 physicians across Greater Memphis. He has been an active member of AAMSE since joining having graduated from AAMSE 360 and previously serving on the County CEO Committee.
Joseph Greaves, MA – Elected to serve as AAMSE President. Greaves is the Executive Director for the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, a role he has served in since 2017 after joining ACCMA in 2007. Prior to his time with the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, he served as the Outreach and Programs Officer with the California Medical Association. Greaves has held leadership positions with AAMSE on the Annual Conference Planning Committee, Leadership Committee and County CEO Committee.
Rebecca Brandt, CAE – Elected to serve as AAMSE Secretary/Treasurer. Brandt joined Executive Director, Inc. in 2003 and has served as Executive Director of several EDI clients, including the International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL), American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and the International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative (ITSCC). Becky currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, a role she has held since 2020 after working with the organization in various capacities over 15 years. She also proudly served as the Executive Director of AAMSE from 2009-2014.
Catherine Johannesen, CAE – Serving as Immediate Past AAMSE President. Johannesen is the Chief of Staff at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. She has been an active member of AAMSE since 2015, chaired the 2019 Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, and serves on numerous AAMSE committees and workgroups. She earned her Certified Association Executive designation in 2020 and is an alumnus of AAMSE’s Leadership Academy.
The following AAMSE members were elected to serve as Directors:
Lindsey Josephs, PCM – Josephs is the Director of Marketing and Outreach for the Illinois State Medical Society (ISMS), where she has served in multiple roles over more than a decade. Beginning as an Outreach Representative, she later supported the Resident and Fellow Section, the Medical Student Section, and several ISMS councils before moving into her current leadership role. Today, Lindsey oversees marketing, membership recruitment and retention, and non-dues revenue initiatives. A Professional Certified Marketer® since 2018, she has been actively involved with AAMSE since 2015, including serving as Chair of the Annual Conference Planning Committee.
Robert Hay Jr., MA, CAE – Hay has served as Executive Vice President of the Medical Society of the District of Columbia (MSDC) since 2018, leading initiatives such as prior authorization reform, a tiered membership model, and the launch of the Capital Healthcare Honors. A native Washingtonian, Robert began his career lobbying for veterinary medicine before moving into medical association advocacy. Prior to MSDC, he worked at an association management firm supporting scientific and medical organizations, as well as AGRP and ASAE. He is also active in his community through Catholic Relief Services, Scouting America Troop 301, and local youth sports leagues.
Tiffany Knowlton, JD, MBA – Knowlton has served as Executive Director of the Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) for more than a decade, leading the expansion of global partnerships and the creation of the AAP Physiatry Foundation to advance academic physiatry. With over 20 years in medical society leadership, she began her career in health policy at the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, later guiding government affairs and policy at the American College of Rheumatology. Tiffany is recognized for her expertise in building mission-driven organizations, advocating for physicians, and driving strategic innovation to strengthen academic medicine.
Alison Williams – Williams is the Executive Director of the Oklahoma County Medical Society, where she leads a growing physician community in Oklahoma City. With more than 20 years of association management experience, she is committed to the impact of organized medicine on patient care and community health. A graduate of the AAMSE Leadership Academy, Alison serves on both the AAMSE Annual Meeting Planning Committee and the County CEO Annual Meeting Planning Committee. Originally from rural Oklahoma, she is passionate about creating meaningful member experiences that foster unity and collaboration among physicians.
