Jason Porter, MD
Dr. Porter is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and currently a Medical Hematologist and Oncologist at the West Cancer Center and Research Institute. He completed his undergraduate degree at Christian Brothers University and medical training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His clinical and research interests include early detection and screening for all cancers, local and advanced lung cancers and benign hematology. He has published research on the hypertension, advanced lung cancer therapy and side effects as well as acute leukemia. He derives a great sense of fulfillment from helping patients and their families navigate the therapies and complications of these horrible illnesses. He is excited to be an advocate for cancer patients in the Memphis area, providing care for the community which has been so good to him.
