Wednesday, June 21, 2018, The Memphis Medical Society hosted a Meet the Candidates night at the Society’s office. Society members and candidates running in local elections were invited to the meet-and-greet event, which offered food and beverages.
This unique opportunity allowed Society members and election candidates to discuss laws and legislation facing the physician community in private and small groups.
Guests arrived at 6:00 p.m. and enjoyed themselves through the end of the event at 8:30 p.m.
In attendance were Doctors David Cannon, George Woodbury, Zach Sherman, James Ensor, Catherine Womack, Lanetta Anderson, David Schwartz, Jennings Hardee and Matt Scott.
Candidates included Judge Rudolph, Sanjeev Memula, Allan Creasy, Kevin Vaughn, Dwayne Thompson, Jim Coley, David Cambron, Danielle Shonbaum and George Flinn, M.D.
A second Meet the Candidates night is scheduled for June 27th to allow more candidates and physicians to meet and talk together.
