Impacts of COVID-19 on 2020 Medicare Physician Spending

A new report from the AMA shows the impacts of the pandemic on Medicare physician spending for all of 2020. Overall spending was down $13.9 billion (14%) from expected and was still well below the pre-pandemic level at year-end. Impacts are shown by specialty and state along with a breakdown of telehealth spending for the year.
