MedTemps, a subsidiary of Memphis Medical Society, is hiring an experienced, skilled, and professional certified medical assistant/medical front office assistantin the Mid-South area.

We work with the leaders of medicine in the Mid-South to provide them with the highest quality staffing and services available. We prefer a minimum of 5 years’ experience for this position.

Job Description

Full-time position will be a hybrid role that can function as a Medical Office Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant. Multi-skilled role, which includes appointment scheduling, greets patients and visitors, registration for patients, update demographic information, and receives co-payments for the visit. Performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians. Prepares the examination room for the patient as well as taking patient vital signs and recording vitals in medical chart. Must be efficient with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Will be an advocate of policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills are essential for this position. Ensures and maintains the confidentiality of patient information and other UCH business information in accordance with HIPAA and other compliance standards. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a medical setting, front and back clinic
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Strong clinical operations experience preferred
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
  • Ability to learn and perform complexities of scheduling
  • Ability to work and make triage decisions
  • Ability to be highly flexible and versatile with strong service orientation.
  • Ability to be results and people oriented and have sound judgment
  • Fluent keyboarding, typing, and mousing skills
